Fong/Rodriguez House by Craig Steely Architecture

June 08, 2010 By: admin Posted in: House Design

Craig Steely Architecture have designed modern house of Fong/Rodriguez House in Bernal Heights, San Francisco. The house is designed with modern interior decoration style, with unconventional plan (by San Francisco standards) puts the living area at the top of the house to enjoy panoramic views of the city, while the middle floor becomes a flexible arrangement of bedrooms, a writing studio, and gallery arranged around sliding cherry wood walls and glass treaded staircase. With the wooden flooring decoration, the ground floor holds two garages and a studio accessed from the rear yard by a spiral stair. An 8-ft diameter stainless steel rimmed circle is cut in the roof of the upper floor balcony. As the sun passes through the day, an oval of sunlight travels through the house, like a huge sundial.
