Chelsea Hing have designed apartment that inspired by sophisticated New York living located in East Melbourne, Australia. Arguably one of Melbourne’s best located apartments, this penthouse enjoys 270-degree views over the CBD and overlooks Fitzroy Gardens. Fulfill with luxury textiles, velvet, furniture and another fixture, this penthouse apartment interior design look charming and has livable spaces sense. Simple layout create spacious feel although has heavy interior decoration.

The living and dining areas are great for entertaining with Flexform armchair pairs made to split in two and small side tables able to be rearranged on a whim. The dining table an old classic from Cassina “the Labarca” folds away into a console for extra space and whilst the library is a quiet room for TV watching & reading, it too has been planned to expand to fit a group. Strong oversized pieces were used throughout the apartment with many elements custom designed to fit the generous proportions of the space. The palette was kept to sophisticated greys & champagnes with graphic black & whites to complement the clients’ substantial aboriginal art collection. Fabrics were layered in textures of classic linens, silks & velvets and rugs were deliberately soft & shimmery to provide luxury in an otherwise hard space.
